I was talking to a friend In town today, who told me her daughter had bought her a George Formby for her birthday. I was thinking CD, Old film, and then the penny dropped. I was wetting myself with laughter. A George Foreman mean, lean, grilling machine. Even when I left her she didn't know what she had said wrong. I'm still chuckling now.

My laugh of the day was when my daughter was watching escape to the country ( how riveting is that NOT) she went down to make some jam on toast and as she was in such a hurry to find out if they liked the house she belted up the stairs so quickly. all i heard was a thud....me running to find out what was going on, She missed her footing on the stairs and tripped..... all i could see was a daughter with that much jam on her face from where she went face first in to her toast, I thought i was going to wet my self. She told me later that she could still smell the jam as it went right up her nose....please excuse typing but still laughing now

reminds me when an elderly aunt said she had been given Anus Anus perfume for xmas and she loved it--- she meant Annis Annis ! nobody corrected her, god knows how many people she told.
