Hi.
I'v just bought a new toilet seat , fitted it as good as I can and it still moves i cannot tighten it any more or i'll snap some thing How can I stop it from going left or right if you know what i mean

they are a pain inthe backside (no pun intended)
but have you checked the pads underneath (the bits that go on the pan itself) if they dont sit exactly right they will cause the seat to move when sat on

Did you have to put screw things in that you had to get "just right" before fixing it to the pan ??

It should have come with rubber washers to go each side of the porcelain seat. Or you could go to B&Q, and get some clips that fit on the seat, that holds it in place.

I fixed mine with a kit from toilidfix.co.uk - only took a couple of minutes and did the trick fine.
