I am really thick when it comes to technology and I have been attempting to send a video to my son as an attachment to an email but keep getting a message telling me the file is too large so I am hoping that some of you brainy AB'ers would be able to tell me how to do it without having to buy equipment which I may only use a couple of times. Thanking you in anticipation. John
Try rapidshare.com allows files to be shared free. You don't have to sign up but the free upload/download might be a little slow but fine for your needs. Once uploaded, you will get a link. Copy/paste into email and send it to your son for downloading.
It may be too large for an email, but perhaps OK for something like facebook. That way you could post it and he could view it easy peasy. Even if long it could maybe be broken down using moviemaker.

Emails are not really suited to send large files. Try Binfer which specializes in large file transfers. It is as easy as email, but without the size limitation. You can send hundreds of file without reducing their size. And, you don't have to upload them anywhere. The site is http://www.binfer.com
