....delivered to your house number address with just a Girls first name?

In the card was a gift voucher for £20.00 for '' Next '' and the sender just signed her nickname, and apologized for sending late.
I have no idea who the girl is and there was no forwarding address and it was posted about 15 miles away in Cambridge.

I have checked a few neighbours with daughters, but no luck.

Check with Next if there's any way of tracing who bought the voucher - it probably has a serial number and if it was a card purchase it might be possible. The rest is up to your conscience.

Crumbs. You can't return to sender, the only thing you could do is return it to the sorting office but they can't do anything with it either. You could notify the sorting office though, saying you'll keep it for three months in case they get any claim for non-delivery, after which time you'll dispose of it ( you don't have to mention what was inside)...

Have a word with the postie and see if they have delivered birthday cards lately with a similar name? Long shot, but might work (was originally going to suggest what vallaw posted).

There's nothing more you can do - Next don't keep records of card purchases anymore than the post office keep records of stamp sales.

Keep the gift voucher for a couple of weeks and then do what you will with it.

Sherr's idea is a good one, my local postie would certainly have a good idea in a similar situation. You could also try asking kids in the neighbourhood round the same age if they know the name (assuming by saying girl you know it was intended for a young person?)

I am with vallaw on this one. If this does not work then just enjoy your new vouchers and buy something nice with them. As long as you do not enjoy doing this then it will not be a crime.

Thanks folks, I made a few inquiry's today in my locality and nobody seems to have heard of her, so I will leave it a few weeks and treat myself!!!!!! :-)
