JJ,
Agree Warlock doesn't sound like a western but it's the name of the town where the story takes place. The folks there need someone to take care of the baddies so they hire a gunfighter, played by Fonda, to be their sheriff. I've seen it several times.
Another classic is The Gunfighter (Gregory Peck).

Hi JJ.
Not regularly caz as don't have a telly! But certainly if I did have a telly and a western was on of a saturday afternoon, I would probably have a bit of battle with snags as to whether the grand prix was really worth watching. I really want to see True Grit as well, I think the last western I saw was Rango (it IS a western lol). I don't like the ones where it's the indians that are the badies so much, I like when it's not just cowboys and indians.
My favourite musical is also seven brides for seven brothers... I know it's random but I never get to talk about that either.

Living here in the western U.S., I have a lot friends that have their own collection of western movies. The few that show up on all their lists though, include some that have already been mentioned, but also the top 5 would have to include, "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", the original "Stagecoach" (John Wayne in 1939), Sam Peckinpah's "The Wild Bunch". "High Noon" (was that already mentioned?) "Tom Horn" with Steve McQueen (based on a true story about a Range Detective set very near where I live)...
There are three more that aren't well known ... "The Big Country" with Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston and Burl Ives, about 1959 or so) and finally, there's "The Wonderful Country" with Robert Mitchum in 1960.
