hi boxy - I had 'cartwright' for 35d and I've just realised my dyslexia's working overtime as I've reversed the letters for 45a I've got -e-a-y and that would make 'legacy' correct if that's the answer but that doesn't make a lot of sense but that could just be me !!

Don't know the answer to 45a, but the letters are -e-a-y, not -a-e-y.
37d is Hyp(e)rsonic. 29d is Trache(a). 30d is Neolog(y)
