whats the film please...?!

evening all,
im trying to trace the name of a film, and i need your help please!

i saw it on the telly about 10 or more years ago,
its a bit of a surreal kind of film, like a bad dream, set in a u.s manhattan style area,
at night, desolated streets, with a young fella, who i think, takes a night off work,
and hopelessly and frustratingly keeps getting himself into allsorts of strange predicaments and trouble during the small hours of that night,
i remember a seedy all night cafe that he goes into, and he gets involved with an unsavoury female,
she takes him back to her place, up to her attic work studio, where she shows him her strange, mishapen body papier mache creations..
anyway, at the end of the film, hes being chased by a gang, and he ends up escaping back to this womans place, up in the attic, where she saves him from being caught, by solidly setting him into a papier mache cast!

anyone know the film im rabbitting on about please?! ... lol

It is indeed After Hours - I was able to 'aquire' a copy online recently. It's still amazinglyfresh and hilarious, though as dark as you remember. The main character was the guy first killed in American Werewolf in London. He loses his only money through a taxi window (made before ATMs and Mobile Phones) and it's his story of trying to get home during the night in New York. It's one of our favourites here - highly recommended!

the story is like a bad nightmare isnt it, lol, going from one strange weird entanglement to the next! .. lol,
oh the poor fella, and all he wants to do, is get home..!

Is that what that's about? My sister's been trying to get me to watch it for years, but I don't usually like the same stuff as her. Might give it a go now though :)

hey thats a coincidence isnt it, and being such a 'random' film too! lol.

yeah, have a watch of it, its an easy film tofollow.. you just get to feel a bit exasperated for the poor fella!!
