broken boot catch...will that fail mot?
the boot catch on my car is broken and has been permanently closed over by a mechanic, til i can get a new one...however im due for an mot soon...will this affect that?
the catch is apparently kind of expensive you see so i cant just get one til i have the cash.

beeping at you has nothing to do with right or wrong on both parties...they beeped as they could see you and you could probably stop before them, as you were just pulling away.
again go back and take the oncoming car out of the equation. You were in the wrong.
Then add them back and they too were in the wrong.
