having a lot of trouble with anti social behaviour and vandelism to my car. we are thinking of buying a security camera thats discreet ,good quality and simple to install .also not toxpensive. i would be grateful for any advice or suggestions.
Please be aware that you may find that by installing the camera, you are entering the realms of the Regulation of Investgatory Powers Act (RIPA). You are required to put up signs saying CCTV is in use, whether the camera is discreet or not.
Security cameras on your own home are in no way covered by RIPA.
They may be covered by the data protection act if you are filming people outside the boundaries of your own property, similarly there may be objections under the human rights act if you were filming your neighbours garden (tenacious though)
There is no legal requirement to inform anyone that you have cameras on your own property as long as they are filming only your own property.
Fix CCTV system for your car in the garage so that it will secure your car. You can also use video door phone so that it will record all the activity in your premises. For security reason video door phone are the best option.
