Does anyone now how to get my secuity light to work on a sensor - at the moment its on all the time! Im going through loads of light bulbs!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If its one with built in sensor (usually looks like a plastic hemisphere about 1" diameter), try switching it on and off 3 times (finally leaving it on). It may either stay on for a bit, then flash a couple of times and go off, or flash straight away. If so, it is then set and will come on for a minute (or whatever) each time it is triggered.

If I read your question correctly; you have fitted a security light which is now permanently 'On'.
Try switching the power off for two or more seconds, it should then activate properly when power is restored. The lamp will light when the power is restored but should go off, if you have it on the right setting.
Hi sarah,are you sure there isn't a small screw which you can turn to adjust so that the light comes on when it is dusk,and goes off in the morning at a similar light density.We have just had a similar problem but after much 'tweeking' of the adjuster,it now works. Our instructions were not very clear so it took longer than usual to get it right.Long life bulbs are also a good idea.
Don't emit any infrared radiation between 8-14 microns wavelength and be near the ambient temperature of near by objects.
