what famous people died from the plague?

Louis IX of France, in 1270 while on crusade in Tunis.
It's possible that Alexander the Great also died of plague, although the cause isn't certain and it's also claimed that he died from typhoid fever or malaria.

Actually, we had this question researched and their findings were that only one famous person died from the plague. It was someone I never heard of before. My guess is that there is probably more than one person but verifying it is the tough part. But thanks for your responses.

The plague affected many parts of the world at different times and is estimated to have killed about 100 million people. In London it was mainly the poor that were living in cramped conditions that met the ultimate fate. The political and social elite (which would include your "famous people" ) were very effective ay preserving themselves by swift flight from the affected areas.

Chijiki, thanks for your answer. Because it affected mainly the poor, I didn't expect to find many "famous folks" who were casualties. BTW, I'm not interested in the famous person aspect of this. I'm following up on some Renaissance related stuff.
