just tell them how you feel first...they might have just overlooked your need to have an office i.e: you can do it in housemaster's office...which I know is a pain in the ass that they did overlook it
give examples of how that's where the students/parents knew where to find you; it was private; it was your base...and everyone needs a base to work from..especially when you're indispensable! Good luck ;)
