I'm stuck on the last two 10d s????e? 7 letters (this clue is to do with horses, the ones I have so far are Trotter-Percheron- Pinto-) the 3rd letter is the last of 15a, the clue is 'speakers trim mate' pa??. all the clues are in alphabetical order then have to be fitted into the x'word hence pa?? I have thought of 'pare'
the 1st letter of 10d is the last of 8a the clue to that is (not much praise without bishop the answer being (b)less) sorry its such a lengthy explanation but not everyone is familiar with this crossword, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. thankyou

10d Sorrel is a possibility
Phebe has made the following correction:

"I made a mistake with the letters in 10d its s???e? six letters not seven hope you can still help I had wrong glasses on and its late sorry"
seen that ta Factor, hence my 6 letter stab.
I'm still not sure what the clue is for 10d. Please can you clarify. Ta.

thankyou I'm sure you are right I just couldn't think of sorrel the x'word is one where there are no clue numbers after getting the answers you have to put them in place . two clues are without definition but relate to a series which started 30 yrs ago(that bit was simple as it was obviously 'only fools and horses' four clues were to do with 'fools' and four with 'horses' having acheived that getting stuck on the last two was frustrating. thanks again
