my symapthies are with you, I've just gone through the same sh!t and I quote from my letter of redundancy;
"Statutory

don't know what happened there....

"statutory redundancy payments are calculated on the basis of a "normal" week's pay subject to a maximum of 280 per week, and takes account of your age and number of full year's service withh the company.
Number of years worked -5
Age 41
Therefor number of weeks to which you are entitled is -5

Not good. Thankfully I also had an enhanced redundancy package, but this entirely at the discretion of your ex-employer.

I am interested in this as there is a possibility that I could be made redundant in March and by then I will have been there 3 years.

Chillum - am I reading your answer correctly, how can anyone be entitled to -5 weeks redundancy?? Surely in my case that would me I owed them money!

Apologies if I am being an idiot and not reading it properly!

Just found a site - apparently I am entitled to 840 which is 3 weeks pay at the maximum of 280 per week (I earn more than this). See here for a calculator.

+5 you CheekyChops.
