blaupunkt lucca 3.5d sat nav /gps - usa maps?

I am due to go on holiday to the US soon, and was thinking of taking the SAT nav I was given as a xmas present a while back with me to use in the hire car. However, I can't see how to download maps of the US onto it.
Any ideas?

Plug it in to your pc or laptop and go to the website if its TomTom it tells you what to do. hope that helps

If its a Tomtom plug it in to your pc or laptop and go to website for Tomtom it will take you step by step through it. hope that helps.
