On the subject of 'not letting things go'...
Two reverend and holy monks were walking in a woods..they came to a fast flowing stream where they discovered a beautiful young woman trying to get across.
One of the monks helped the beautiful woman get across the stream by lifting her across. She thanked him and went on her way.
The two monks continued on their journey for quite some time...
Finally, the other monk couldn't take it any longer...breaking his vow of silence he exclaimed 'I can't believe you did that! Temptations of the flesh! What were you thinking carrying her across?'
The other monk replied 'I put her down long ago. It's you that's carried her all this way!'
I don`t really have a philosophy but the older I get I realise that if you`re nice to people they tend to be nice back and that makes life an awful lot easier. If I`ve been slighted in some way I just tell myself the person is a w@nker and they tend to get their come-uppance sooner or later anyway.
I don`t see telling people what you think of them as a virtue. I think it just shows a lack of tact, diplomacy and a complete disregard for other peoples` feelings.
Agree with redhelen on this one. Plus stick pins into potato figures of your enemies (or anyone who had upset you), wish bad things on them and wait for revenge!
