M1 & the rain

My neighbour was travelling on the MI this morning & said that the rain was really bad, there was a lady that tried to put the sun roof up whilst travelling! needless to say what happened, did anyone see this happen?

Hi Bobbi,
he travelled from Kent this morning, said the weather had been really bad then seen this woman that had tried to lift the roof on her car whilst travelling, the roof ended up on the carriageway that's going to cost her some money.

My Neighbour did not say if anyone was hurt, I'm sure he said it was near Newport Pagnell Services.

So what happened? I'd guess a little rectangle of glass popped out of the roof at a slight angle and the noise (and ventilation) inside the car increased a little.
