i had a brilliant day today

my two sons and dog went to ayr beach this afternoon for 3 hours,it was lovely,the smell of the sea,sound of the waves,the dog running mad in the sand,the beach was lovely and clean and so was the water,then we walked up to the ice cream van and bought the dog his treat,a cone,he loved it.on the way home we stopped at the supermarket and the boys went in for bread ,milk,stamps,etc.i have to keep out of the supermarket for a month to use everything in my freezer,so i sat in the car and read my book,when we got home just after 7 my youngest made dinner for the four of us.i really appreciated them taking me out today,i loved it.

Well done Kate for keeping up with your challenge, I must try it one day. Glad you had a great day. I pottered, did all the Mail?Express crosswords, daughter, SIL and 5 grandkids came round after being on holiday for 3 weeks so that was lovely, I really missed them.

days like that are so special, aren't they, kate - you remember them for ages and I love the scheme for clearing the freezer, I'd better try that !! do it again, soon, if you can

instead of going shopping every week we are going for a drive and i pick 'where to'so next week it will be largs and i will pick up my sister at Wemyss bay pier and spend the day together and drop her of for the last boat home.

I can see you have to be really organised and strict with yourself on this. I really enjoy supermarket shopping, seeing whats new and what shall we have I can easily get carried away, my freezer is always packed and sometimes I resent it when I see something I Want to buy and cannot fit it in the freezer, I really should change my shopping methods.

i still cant fit anything else in my freezer,just took a tray of steaks out for tonights dinner.
