Washing Muddy Kitten Heels

Having borrowed my daughter's kitten heels on Saturday for a wedding where I had to park in a field and it rained, is there anything other than soap and water to get the the muddy stains off the heels?

try treating them as you would a gentle fabric wash then with a mild washing machine 'liquid' diluted with warm water .. swish it up and get some lather going as if you're doing the pots & wipe down with a soft cloth x
