There are a range of sizes .. The volume is smaller than you would think. Best value will always be the large ones .. like a builder's skip. Share one with a neighbour if you can!
and be prepared to find other peoples rubbish in your skip when you didnt see them do it. There was all kinds appeared overnight last time I hired one.
As a guide - just had a wooden lean-to demolished and a new UPVC one in its place. Filled the skip with all the spoils (wood glass, plastic roof, exterior door etc) plus a bit of garden rubbish too.
Delivered at 8am filled by builder and collected at 4pm
They do 3 sizes and I chose the middle (8 cubic metres if memory serves)
Also remember that if you cannot get the skip on your own ground and it is to be parked on the street you will have to notify the council. You also need to supply lighting, signs etc.
