Hello, my daughter is going to transfer 10 k to our a/c in Spain (she with Lloyds), when my wife and I lived in the U.K. three years ago there were two exchange rates for your £-€ with Barclays (tourist and business) what has she to do to get the much better business rate. Or is that a thing of the past?
Thank you very much for your help/

I don't know about Lloyds TSB or Barclays, but NatWest makes transfers at the business rate of the day. The tourist rate normally refers to exchanging currency notes and also has a different rate for buying and selling, which allows for a profit margin especially when advertised as commission free.
