Ive had mine 25 years (a swiss champ) it gets used quite a lot and is still perfect spay it with wd 40 once a year and its still like new

Have two. Reason is the dog buried one but found and good as new. Rarely a day when one doesn't get used and wouldn't cut herself's toenails with anything else. Latest job was piercing new window frame to screw in blind supports Operate on dog's brain tomorrow (if I can find one!)
