what is your oldest item of clothing you own...and why do you still have it?

I have a three quarter Sheepskin jacket..15 years old, but the first whiff of snow and on it goes.....bu&&er fashion.

I still have a floor length flowery crimplene type dress which I wore for my sister's 21st in 1975 (all the rage then!!!) I haven't a clue why I still have it because it certainly doesn't fit! I still also have an olive velvet jacket from my going away outfit from 1979

A white gypsy skirt that my mum had when she was in her late teens; it's probably about 25+years old and still going strong. I have it because it's pretty and gypsy skirts come in fashion every summer without fail.

Then I remembereda t-shirt which belonged to my late brother. Dunno how long he had it before he died. You could split peas through it now.

I've got a leather jacket belonging to me from about 1980 and a t shirt of my friend who died in 1983, wouldn't be parted from either of them for anything.

Have a Biba Dress that i brought in the 1970s, crushed velvet very vintage. kept it all these years to remind me that at one time i could fit into a size 10....lol

a 1920's 'flapper' style beaded dress with drop waist, and matching cloche hat. I got it to wear at a rather up-market fancy dress party and it's gorgeous, but, was a nightmare to wear. I've also got a trunk full of late 70's early 80's stuff my daughters keep asking to go through but I won't let them.

A 'Wrangler' denim jacket from around 1970. I don't wear it but I can still get in it ....just :-)

I have a "Falmers" cotton skirt which I wore (and loved) in the mid 70s. Its a size 10-12 and I keep it in the hope I will one day go down 3 dress sizes to fit in it again!!!!
