I have to send a birthday card to a lovely 75 yr old gent in Wales pls can you tell me how to write "Happy birthday Terry bach" [ if bach is appropriate] in Welsh pls.
no jokes pls any insult that would be funny for a yonger person and I know its tempting, I dont think this guy would see the funny side of it.

I don't speak Welsh but this website gives the Welsh phrase for 'Happy Birthday':

Cariad in Welsh is Girl Dee.
Penblwydd hapus is the welsh for happy birthday. Bach means 'little' but is often used as a term of endearment in welsh.
BTW, cariad means 'darling'.
cariad actually means love
It means both 'darling' and/or 'love'. 'Serch' can also be used or 'caru' for the verb to love.
Mad, I'm ashamed of myself, 40yrs in Lancs & I have forgotten.
