knitting/crochet pattern

Does anyone use a good internet site for knitting patterns for baby wear. II have googled baby patterns (free) but the few sites it has directed me are awful, so old fashioned or very americanised (not sure if that's a word) and not appealing at all. I am looking to make a gift for a close friends forthcoming 1st grandchild, so I want something unusual but not too hard to create. I had a lovely bar shoe pattern but lost it and cant find anything suitable. Any ideas???

Does it have to be clothing? Why not make a group of Bunny Nuggets?
