Same 'ere naomi (oooo looky you venturing into CB!) can't be doing with my body toasty warm but my snout frozen solid- bugger that for a game of soldiers!
I have had the heating on a couple of times, I am officially putting away the fans into storage until next summer tomorrow.
OP, I have had to.. not because all the clothes will not fit in the tumble dryer but if you hang them outside, when I return all I'm left with is my socks and grundies.

but it is getting cold, not like the thermonuclear temperature you girls seem to have.
B00, I know! I've got my brave up!! :o)
No, not at all - I did put a pair of socks on when I went out this morning, that was my concession to cooler weather. We'e just shut the living room window. Not cold at all here, just a tad chill in the air.
Yes, global warming by passed this corner of owdham
My nose is freezing and about to fall off.

The heating has been on for an hour, but this room with t he computer in in never gets warm.

I going under that duvet very shortly.
I am trying not to turn mine on until the last moment, mainly because the cost has gone up so much. Last year I used it quite a lot but if I use it the same way this year my bills are going to be phenomenal. My house is quite warm I am glad to say.
Never been cold since the (whisper) menopause.
We run a wood burning stove which has been on tonight for the first time. As the fuel costs nowt it wont be the last.
Got quite chilly while watching Downton Abbey - so put fire on for a few minutes, its turned quite cold tonight in the East Mids..
I'm not going back there, ladybirder, not for anything!
We have to replace our 30 year old woodburner so are without one at the moment. Also we have a jackdaws nest in the chimney!! We have logs from about 4 or 5 very large trees all ready to burn and nice and seasoned.

So regrettably am relying on the central heating at the moment!!
had oura on for just an hour or so a night the past few nights!.........it's getting chilly!..........
We must be the only ones on our relatively modern estate who don't have Central heating - hubby doesn't like it, it was optional when the house was built in the 70s (which I suppose is not modern any more but you know what I mean!) But the strange thing is, our house (3 bed semi) with a gas fire in the lounge and a convector wall heater in the hall is much warmer than our friends/family who have central heating.....cheaper too!
