Hi Molly, as promised, a report on the cooked black potatoes. When I peeled them and cut them, parts of the insides were white, but it took about a dozen washes to remove the purple staining from my hands. I parboiled the potatoes - and the water turned a lovely shade of blue - and then I roasted them. They didn't go golden brown, they just stayed black, and the outsides weren't crispy - they were just smooth and a bit hard.
Conclusion: I definitely wouldn't buy them. They don't look appetising and the flavour is no different to that of a white potato. x
