Dropped a glass ashtray. Hand made one off so cannot buy another. Will standard Super Glue be suitable for sticking the broken off pieces back in place?

Think you have to buy one just for glass

Thanks...
Just this morning I was looking at the handle of an old glass sugar bowl that broke off nearly 10 years ago and was repaired with standard super glue... still going strong!

Thanks Clanad... has the superglue stayed clear or turned opaque with age?
I was always advised to use Araldite for bonding glass items.
No, snags... I can see where the cracked handle was (in two places, of course since it broke entirely off), but it's just the shadowing of the crack, not the glue...
There are 2 I have found specifically for glass.
Bison Glass Bond and Loctite Glass Bond.
As far as I know standard superglue should work but might not be as strong and also may degrade due to UV light action.
