it's too much for me on my own now. Is there a cheaper Freesat that still gives me the pause/rewind/record facilities? Thanks.

If you look at the amount of times you look at Sky programmes , is the cost justified?
Daughter has lived in her flat for 18 months, it came complete with sky satellite, her terrestal Tv has been appalling. She purchased a digital freesat box, which allows her all too pause/record/rewind. and plugs into her Sat . Ok she doesn't get all the Sky progs, only the free ones, but in reality who really watches them all. The film's are repeated several times etc etc and will be on on other channels within a short time. The box cost approx £ 180 , dearer than the norm box.( Purchased from Comet.) She now has a perfect picture , and more freeview channels than a conventional freesat box. She uses the sat disc, without any charges from sky.

I've just rung Sky and have decided to lose Films and Sport which has reduced my bill down to £24.50 but keeps everything else as it was. As the £52.90 left my account today, I won't get a bill in October at all and then the November bill will be still in credit by a small amount. Thus the December bill will be the first one charged at the £24.50.
I'll see if this is manageable and thank you for all your advice.
