Best food processor to buy for elderly Mum ...........
17 Answers
Can any of you recommend a kitchen gadget for my elderly Mum to use ....... she needs to mince meat - both cooked and raw meat (shes 87 and can't chew meat very now well) also would like to chop vegetables to make coleslaw, soups etc. The ones I've seen are so expensive and complicated to use - she doesn't need a lot of additional attachments. Is there a simple food processor fairly cheap which will do all this please? If you can tell me the make and model no etc please I could perhaps get one from Ebay. Thanks to you all .............

Hi Ann,
this Kenwood multi food grinder seems to do all your mum wants it to. There are cheaper machines, but they don't all mince meat! Not too bad a price! Have a look at the product details & also the customer reviews which seem good! http://www.argos.co.u...mixers%7C14418606.htm

I still have difficulty with working out which side of the blade I need for shredding for coleslaw, it's a reversible one and the whole machine had little bits here and there, ie a spindle thing which comes off where you put the bowl. My first one was a Toshiba (23yrs ago) and it was marvelous, only changed it cos one of the blades was difficult to remove after shredding) I still have it and may revert back.
