did a payment in a shop on debit card got home shop phoned me saying payment had not gone through but at the time the manager said it had do i have to go back and pay for it once you have left the store

what did he want you to do? give him the number again...?

or just go back to the shop?

if the first then it could be a scam...it may not have been the shop on the phone.

someone watched you make a payment, followed you home, then found your number ...

And if you used a debit card, how come it went through in store but was refused? I could be wrong but I didn't think that could happen?
