Do they actually think?

Was watching a film yesterday afternoon when one of the characters said
'I've not been back here since we moved away'

That makes sense to me.

I know it's a logical statement, it just grated on me at the time as it had nothing to do with the storyline.

I feel the same when an Author spends a full page describing a 'field of buttercups' (for instance)..it's like they were told to add a few hundred more words to pad out the book...needless to say I don't read it.

Hi alba, I agree with you , sometimes the script is so banal one can pre- empt exactly what is going to be said in the dialogue !
