Are the windows permanent or have you had work done recently and are waiting for them to be fixed?

If it's the former you won't go far wrong with a can of builders foam.....

been there a few years. just nioiced them the other day whilst gardening. do you mean just foam, of finish with sand and cement. now i think about it , last winter the outside walls were frosty, never thought much about it ?

Good stuff, that foam................ but if you want to finish with it looking better as well......... fit a sillboard inside, and a window sill outside.

thanks all. wonder what it will do to the heating bill? thanx again
if youve never used the foam before-dont go 'mad' with it--it 'expands'
Personally, I would bed in fillets of treated/stained timber on sealant, then finish exterior joints with flexible stainable/paintable acrylic sealant to finish.
Foam can get a bit out of hand and be difficulat to get a neat finish.
Big gaps or holes can be done with foam to stabilise though.
