Have just been to Tesco's and purchsed 3 x 4 Pint milk cost £4.47
For some months now I have only paid £3 eaxh week I have been.
I did not notice the increase till I got home. I will have to check next
week to see if this correct, or is this the way they are discounting
other items
Morrisons were already spreading well into the south of the country prior to 2004 but then they bought Safeway (and rebranded all of their stores to 'Morrisons'), giving them nationwide coverage.
My local Asda Superstore is literally round the corner from home so I always shop there anyway, but have found their Price Guarantee a real bonus.
When you check your receipt on the website, if you could have bought cheaper elsewhere then Asda will give you a voucher.
I have had several vouchers varying from 60p to over £5 and it's saved me from having to shop around because I know that if I could have bought cheaper then I'll get a voucher.
Of course, Asda win in the end because I have to go back there to spend my voucher but I probably would have done so anyway!
Our ASDA is vile - it's only been open a few weeks, the stock is always running out, and I wouldn't shop there from choice. Morrisons is only a few shops away, and I'd rather go to Tesco if I had the choice.
Agree with Boxtops re Asda, thought it was great when it first opened here, but after a few months stock seemed to be all over the place, or missing, and some of the labels encouraging you to buy say "2 for £1" are a con when you notice that each item is only 50p anyway!
