Can you clean LCD screen on a camera?

I have marked my LCD screen on my digital camera - I was using a scratch remover cream especially for glass and used a very small amount but it has now left what looks like an oil mark on the screen and I can't remove it. Is there a product which can clean LCD screens or does anybody have any suggestions please? Many thanks

LCD screens are not made of glass and can be damaged by some cleaning products. See below for suggested cleaning solutions, and pray that you haven't already damged it!

Thanks rojash - that info was great - will try some of the suggestions out

I should have said that although i've put lcd it is actually coverered by glass (I have a sony dsc-h1) and the screen is so large on the back it's pretty hard not to scratch it. It's definately not melted though!!!!! Thank goodness!

But in the process of cleaning, we need to pay attention to lcd screen does not require any special cleaning solution or rags, water + soft, lint-free cloth or cotton lint is the best LCD Cleaning Kit (can not afford to scrap paper towel will do). When used in a clean lint-free cloth moistened with water and cotton and then twist a little dry, then soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth on the screen to gently wipe the dust (do not squeeze hard screen), wipe from the screen when the recommended rub until all the other party to wipe clean so far, do not casually waving.
