Why does no channel ever show Premier League matches on Saturdays that kick off at 3pm?

I've never known a live game to be shown on a Saturday afternoon Kick-off At 3. other than what's on-line. I think it has to do with getting bums on seats in the stadia.
Because if people could stay at home and watch a match on TV they are less likely to go and see another live match that is on the same time.

This could particulalry harm the teams in the lower leagues.

Given the chance of seeing say Man U v Man C live on TV at 3pm, who would go to Torquay v Bury for example.

Is that really the reason? I would have thought people would still go and watch their local team.
VHG has hit the nail on the head - that really is the reason.
