what would you have killed for as a teenager?? following on from bluedolphin's question I got to thinking about what I really really wanted when I was 13/14/15, and it was a telephone in my bedroom!! all the US films of the time (mid 80's) involved late night calls on bedroom phones - I felt so deprived - now obviously mobiles have eradicated this desire - what about you lot??

At that age I was pretty keen on a denim jacket, but they were quite pricey for a young fellow at that time... slighty before the 80s.
By the time I was working the yearning had subdided as there were more pressing things like motorbikes and members of the opposite gender to spend my money on.

Yep! I understand the telephone thing completely. But I also wanted the double bed they had with all the cushions. As far as career aspirations are concerned, I can remember thinking that all I wanted was a desk, with my telephone extension, and most importantly a swivel chair!!! (now I have a computer too)......and I'm still not happy!!

I made myself a telephone for my bedroom out of a cardboard box and some wire. It was really naff but it was the best I could do at 11.
