Shaking of the eyeballs?
Hello.
Does anyone know a reason why your eyeballs would shake. It's a strange on and sometimes happens when I focus on things, very rarely but when it does happen it makes me wonder??

If you ever spin someone around in a chair, as example, and suddenly stop them and look closely at their eyes, you will notice the rythmic movement referenced above. This is the brain is "trying to make sense" of the body's position in relation to the information supplied by the inner ear balance system and that observed by the eyes.. It has a name, no surprise... nystagmus.
Probably not much cause for alarm since it could be caused by an inner ear infection or cold. Make note of when it occurrs. It may happen only when you make sudden head movements or get up from a prone position. If it persists or worsens, as always, seek advice from a physician...
