How much do others drink?!

Am I a total wino and out of control lol?! I used to drink on a Fri, Sat & Sun which over the years as increased to Thurs too and sometimes Wed. Now its become such a habit I find myself wanting to drink nearly every night of the week! As soon as the kids are in bed its such a relief to wind down and have a glass of wine. Through the week its around 2-3 medium glasses and on a weekend most of a bottle. OH drinks 5-6 cans of lager (not strong). So do you lot drink a lot less or more and does it sound like I have a problem or am I just normal?!

If I am going to drink anything weaker it has to be a decent ale eg. Fullers ESB or Theakston Old Peculier.

I got very badly drunk when I was 15 - two bottles of sherry in an hour! I was very ill indeed for two days and still light-headed on the third! I think I must have come close to killing myself. It cured me for life though! I'm 49 now and I've only touched alcohol once since.

That was half a pint of beer about twenty years ago. I didn't finish it all - but I was pi**ed! My head was spinning, I couldn't walk straight - I didn't like it at all. I've never touched a drop since then.

What utter rubbish.

Two glasses of wine a night and a bottle over the course of a weekend is not a lot.

I'd say not a problem at all. But you should still keep an eye on it. I got the point where a night off the booze was at least a bottle of wine. Then it's time to consider stopping.
