There was a very smartly dressed woman on the train opposite me the other day wearing a skirt and blouse, high heels and very nice grey cashmere cardigan. The reason I know it was cashmere was because she had it on inside out and the label was sticking out at the side! Would you have told her, and possibly embarrassed her, or would you have kept quiet?

I would have kept quiet. When she got to work or wherever she was going, someone would have pointed it out to her. She probably thought that nobody had noticed her mistake on the train.
It's a bit like being discretely told your fly is undone...slightly embarrassing....but then the terror washes over you as you try to work out how long it's been undone and all the places youv'e been in the meantime
Oh yes I would have quietly mentioned it, but then again I have been known to tuck in neck labels on people stood in a bus queue, not had a black eye yetLOL
I would definitely have told her (but I wouldn't have dared when I was young)
Anyone ever had a nice bloke walk behind you in the office, lean over your shoulder, and go "blimey, size 16", because your labels are sticking out at the back of your neck?
I would (and have) told her, and I'd want someone to tell me too... getting to work the other day and realising my leggings under my dress/tunic thing were inside out was an unpleasant experience :-/
