If you knew your life could be at an end soon, and you were fit enough to enjoy and rich enough to finance, what would you like to do before you die.
With me it's see the northern lights, visit the Mayan temples, and fly over the Nazcar lines.
To take a train journey across America
If money were tighter it would be to walk or cycle around the Isle of Wight or just visit Cornwall, something I've never done.
Visit all the places in London I meant to (museums and such) I never got around to despite living on the outskirts for many years (because then there was always tomorrow......)

I'm not sure I have an answer, though. I'd like to visit Lhasa, but I doubt I'm fit enough for the altitude. Apart from that, I've done most of the things I wanted and been most of the places I fancied.

Ouch, postdog, so what are we talking about?
We have had our differences here, but there is no way I would ever bring those into the equation when health and/or family issues are invilved and I know that you have had your fair share of difficulties.
Sorry to hear that about the imminent op but the probablility is loaded in your favour I bet, anyway all luck - and you will have Mamya and all the gals to look after you and cheer you up post-op!

Hi Postdog, I hope and pray your operation goes without incident, they are duty bound to tell you the worst and best it is essential you get it done though. DTC is quite right all ministering will be swiftly and gently dealt with.
As for my wish - I have a journey to make (need to overcome fears to do it)- and someone to see at least once before I go.
