I'm reminded, Welsh, of a day when I drove to Rhyl (from Suffolk) just for a day trip. The weather forecast on the previous evening had stated that the whole of the UK would have cloudless skies, with temperatures around 30C but when I left home at 7am it was raining.
When I got to Peterborough, it was raining. When I got to Birmingham, it was raining. When I got to Stoke it was raining. When I got to Chester it was raining. All of the way along the North Wales Expressway it was raining but, just as I got into Rhyl the sun came out and I had a glorious afternoon there. Then I drove 250 miles home and it rained al of the way again. I turned the telly on to see the weatherman apologising for a duff forecast and mentioning that the ONLY part of the UK which had seen any sunshine at all was the area immediately around Rhyl!
So I have to accept that (just occasionally) the sun does shine there after all!
