what nelson scored in cricket?

Nelson in Cricket is a score of 111, 222 etc.
222 would be Double Nelson, actually.
111
144
144 is a gross.
144 is a gross
Do you know how many letters/digits?
Are all the answers numbers?
Could 'start climbing' refer to the first letter(s) of climbing being roman numerals, so perhaps ...c= 100, or cl= 150, or cli= 151 ?
..also the M=1000

Henry VIII was king from 1509 to 1547, i.e. the 16th century ?
CL1M
I think that's 1151
I thought about that, factor 30, but I found a roman numeral converter to check and 'clim' is not a valid combination
Dammit, forgot the link :-)

This one gave me a conversion
http://www.novaroma.o...a_romana/numbers.html
What sweetwoman failed to say was that the they all add up to 501.

Therefore
151
111
144
80
15 (Henry VIII born in 1491 ie 15th century)
^I'm not convinced it's right though.
Why factor?
Interesting, factor30. Put 1151 into your converter and it gives MCLI. I think your converter puts the roman numerals into the correct order and then converts. Try putting in a nonsense number like CLIMMMMM. It gives 5151, convert this and it gives MMMMMCLI
Our posts crossed, sir.prize-I was referring to my 1151 answer. Clearly the Roman answer is 151 (so the M isn't part of the Roman numeral).
It's a shame the OP didn't explain everything but maybe it made the challenge more interesting
. . . and she never returns to the same thread. Cheers factor.
By the way, this competition is in the Compers News.
