Sauce for Chicken and Ham Pie

I've got chicken, ham, leeks, onions and everything else I need for a nice pie - all except cream which seems to be in ALL the recipes for the sauce to go in the pie. Can I make a sauce without the cream? Thank you.

just make a gravy with chicken stock and use that
Agree with Fluff....
How about a roux sauce?
Tin of condensed cream of mushroom or chicken soup

It's probably too late to answer this one, but I would have made a white sauce (butter, flour & milk) and added the chicken stock and some tarragon - abs delish!
Also too late...hot chicken stock with a bit of cornflour stirred in to thicken.
roux sauce is the answer ... i use it when making chicken pies, beautiful.
