Cowboy boots help!
Howdy y'all,
My husband has purchased me, his beloved, a pair of cowboy boots from the states where he recently went on business! (He assures me he has no alterior motive and they are for wearing like regular shoes and not part of some 'thing' he may have!!!!!LOL)
They are just great, and look fab, but the prob is, I haven't the faintest idea what to wear with them. I mostly wear jeans and long skirts, but am drawing a blank for tops to wear with this. Any help on how to wear cowboy boots without looking like I'm in fancy dress would be greatly appreciated! I'm assuming anything checked is out!
P.S I live in the UK, and haven't the faintest clue as to the current trends/fashions etc, so you will have to give it me in plain English, Partner.

I'm not that rural, west sussex, but fairly i spose. I just felt that I was so disillusioned with school. All the reasons why i wanted to teach hadn't been able to be fullfilled in the school setting and so much of my time was taken up with politics and paperwork, that time for actual teaching was dissappearing fast. I also felt that so much of the time it was a case of spending time with the struggling kids to make sure they could keep up with cutbacks for LSAs etc, that the really bright kids just kinda got dumped at the wayside, they were doing ok and so didn't really get a look in. I wanted to think that my children would be able to get stretched to their full potential, whatever that might be, and never feel as though they had underachieved at school. I also had a bit of a bullying issue when my daughter was at school which left her so full of sorrow, it was just heartbreaking. My son was very different, and I knew he would be a handful the minute he walked throught he door and I didn't want him chatted about in the staffroom in the way I had heard other members of staff slag off kids in staffrooms I had been in.
It is knackering, especially with babies to look after too, but so rewarding. I taught my son to read, and that is one of the most amazing things I have ever done, its like right up there on my list of personal accomplishments.
I have bought an off the shelf curriculum this year though, because of the certificate it works towards and also because this year I've been quite ill, I had a baby in January who was premature and we were both in the ICU for a few weeks and then the up hill struggle back to health has been really hard. I've looked back on the year and realised that they have not done as much work as in previous years. With the new curriculum, they do math's science, social studies, English lit and creative writing and grammar ever day (set my someone else) and I just do fun projects and all the baking, craft, going out, trips etc.....it really is so liberating. It is quite comforting too as i don't feel so stressed feeling so responsible for everything. The thing we are thin on the ground with is MFLs but I'm looking at the Rossetta stone series, so maybe that is a way forward.
Anways, I have got a lot on tonight. I was surfing last night, (having a night off actually-what with hubby away, I could do what I like) but tonight I need to play catch up on some housework and stuff-and start christmas planning too. Yikes only 7 weeks till christmas!
have a good rest of the week, and hope you have a better day tomorrow.
