Hi all

My daughter is hoping to become an accountant. Can anyone tell me what the route for this would be ie what would be the requirments, what qualifications should she study and how long will it take etc etc

She is in year 11 of her school and hoping to go to college to study for this qualification.

Any advice here would be appreciated.

Here are the qualifying bodies, coco http://en.wikipedia.o...ntancy_qualifications

It might be that an accountancy firm would take her on as an apprentice or similar, and she can work through the qualifications whilst employed (a good way to do it). Not sure if you can still be articled and train on the job (that's what my ex-OH did while he was studying for his ACCA qualifications).

If you Google "accountancy qualifications UK", loads of helpful sites come up.
