Can Aquaboard Be Dot And Dabbed Onto A Brick Or Block Wall?
We do not recommend that Aqua Board is Direct boned to walls, we would suggest the dryliner system and mechanical fix.
My builders have in the new extension (which is a double skin block with cavity insulation). They have dot and dabbed loose small bits of plaster board all over the block wall and then are attaching aqua board on top of that in the shower areas and normal plaster board in the rest. I don't know if this is right?

Hi Mrs What ............. Lafarge is one of the biggest plasterboard manufacturers. Just right for the job. I can't think why they disapprove of adhesive fixing........... just covering themselves I guess.
To avoid a punch-up with your builders, tactfully show them the Aqua installation notes and ask if they could simply shoot a few screws into the wall as well.
