well with the news my bloke just had and going to visit his mum, he cried yesterday and it was the first time I've ever seen him cry. It was heartbreaking. Just got me thinking is there a difference between men and women? do men cry less ? When was the last time you cried and when was the last time your partner did. Mine was last week watching pride of britain awards.

So he went to see his mother then 4get. He is a very brave man. Emotion of any kind should be let out otherwise it goes inside and gives you something bad like stomach ulcers. Boys are taught that crying is not done - it is not manly. In my opinion that is wrong - if they have a need to cry then they should.
I cried when my adult son died.

A parent should not have to bury their child.

That's what happened to me Steve...

Kay....no they shouldn't xx
Yes it goes against the natural order of things but what really set me off was seeing my lovely grandchildren looking completely distraught.
One of them said to me 'It's alright if you cry Grandpa' - of course I then lost it.

Yes men do cry.
I cry all the time! Last time was on Sat night when I saw the little girl who I used to childmind for. She is 2.5yrs and had been with me full time since 6mths, I hadnt seen her for 2 weeks as keeping my distance to help her settle at nursery. It was heartbreaking, I held it in until I got home though! The last time my OH cried was when his mum died 4 yrs ago. That was the most upsetting thing I have ever witnessed.
Seeing men cry (even on TV) is guaranteed to set me off too.
My oh's parents are both elderly and not in good health, he worships the ground they walk on and he will fall apart when they die, I hope I can be strong enough for him when the time comes.

My dad died when I was very little and didn't understand. I have had a horrible relationship with my mum which I have mentioned before on AB, I can't imagine that I will be upset when she dies.
