For the last 3 hours my 1 year old kitty has been flying around at top speed around the home as well as constant in and out the catflap at full speed. What causes this? Is anyone else's moggy going nuts today?

It's the wind. They love it. Sends 'em wild.
Not just cats, my dog has these mental moments too. Drives me bonkers when she does as all the rugs on the floors get ruched up as she pelts over them at 100 mph.

hi sounds like a young teenage energetic cat, mine is same, he runs around like mad and I even spotted him doing a kind of somersault in mid air one of days, seems to be worst in wind but sometimes pure boredom sets him off. Fun to watch
Children are the same; something about wind sends them primal!
Horses are the same in the wind, real fun when you're on one :-(
We always said "he/she got the wind up his/her tail for this type of behaviour.
