Data protection q
If you have a membership and on the membership lst there is private information I understand the need for keeping it safe etc.
However if a member asks to become involved on a more prominant level ie attend a workshop of the committee and invited people, is one trustee allowed to give to another trustee this members phone number to call them?

What you mustn't do is to release the info to anyone outside of your org, allow anyone in your org to misuse it, or to keep it in an unsafe manner.

I find it's always worth checking first with the person whose number you are giving out, in case they want the call on a different number (e.g. mobile).
What I find that people can be careless with is email addresses - circulars etc really should be sent out b.c.c. if going outside the organisation, particularly if people are using personal email addresses rather than business ones. OK you may have given your email address for use with that club or whatever, but you might not want it circulated outside that organisation.

Hi,
We don't give out membes mail unless they give us permission. We don't normaly need to. Our membership information is so that we can contact them for things we are doing to help them. Bulk email always goes out bcc.
A trustees we should be able to pass details amongst ourselves so that we can actualy do the job we are supposed to do. There are only three trustees so the information doesn't go that far :)
